Production Intern
About Little Bat Games
Little Bat Games is an independent studio that tells deeply researched stories with humor, heart, and unexpected gameplay. We're the creators of the award-winning Vampire Therapist, recognized at BAFTA, Games for Change, and beyond. We're a small, collaborative team that punches well above our weight — and we're looking for someone eager to grow with us.
About the Role
We're looking for a Production Intern to support our team during an exciting period of growth. This is a hands-on role where you'll get real exposure to how a micro-indie game gets made — from milestone planning and task tracking to coordinating across disciplines and helping keep the team organized and on track.
You'll be embedded in our production pipeline, attending team meetings, helping manage our project boards, and learning how a small studio ships ambitious games on tight timelines.
What You'll Do
- Assist the project director with day-to-day project management tasks including task tracking and scheduling
- Help maintain and organize our project management tools, and/or explore new ones
- Take notes during team meetings and distribute action items
- Coordinate communication between the creative director, art, engineering
- Help prepare milestone deliverables and internal presentations
- Research and compile information for production decisions (vendor comparisons, platform requirements, certification checklists)
- Support QA coordination by organizing bug reports and tracking fixes
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in game design, project management, media production, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Agile... but not necessarily into "Agile"
- Familiarity with project management tools (Google Sheets, Codecks, Notion, Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar)
- A genuine interest in games — bonus points if you've played Vampire Therapist
- Comfort working in an ambiguous environment where priorities can shift
- Nerds
Nice to Have
- Experience with game jams, student projects, or shipped titles in any capacity
- Interest in open source project management software
- Basic understanding of game development pipelines (pre-production, production, QA, launch)
- Interest in narrative-driven or socially impactful games
Details
- Duration: 3–6 months, with potential to extend
- Location: Remote (must overlap with Central European Time Zone by 6 hours)
Little Bat Games is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
